Authorities subsequently registered a Zero FIR against Ruchika, allowing the case to be filed at any police station regardless of where the alleged offense took place. Law enforcement officials then registered the case under three provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita: Section 352 covering intentional insult meant to provoke public disturbance, Section 353(1) addressing statements that contribute to public mischief, and Section 356(1) relating to defamation charges. Each section addresses a different aspect of the alleged offense, creating a comprehensive legal framework for the prosecution.
Police authorities are currently working to locate Ruchika Singh, who resides in the Lotus Zing society within Noida’s Sector 150. She is believed to be absconding at present as investigations continue.
