Centre Makes Four Talk Offers to CJP Protesters in 24 Hours
Either at Nadda s office or residence: Government extends invitation for dialogue
Indiadailyupdate.com – The central government has extended four separate proposals for dialogue with the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protesters within a single day, according to Union minister Jitendra Singh. Following unsuccessful preliminary discussions, the minister formally invited the student demonstrators to engage in meaningful talks at JP Nadda’s workplace on Thursday. This marks a significant effort by the administration to resolve the ongoing agitation through direct communication with student representatives.
Government Commitment to Student Welfare
Singh emphasized that the government remains deeply committed to protecting student interests and is prepared to make every necessary effort to address their concerns. Speaking to the media, he stated: “I wish to share that in the last 24 hours as many as four offers were made to the student representatives for a dialogue. It is my humble appeal to the students on agitation that the government is ready for talks whenever you want, at whichever hour of the day and for as much length of time that you wish to.”
The minister clarified that discussions could occur either at Nadda’s official chambers or at his private residence. He further noted that the administration would consider addressing any topic connected to the ongoing student movement, demonstrating flexibility in its approach to resolving the crisis. This openness to dialogue at multiple venues shows the government’s willingness to accommodate the protesters’ preferences.
We are ready to discuss the issue on which the agitation has happened, and all the other related issues as well. The talks can be held with an open mind at the residence of Union health minister JP Nadda and of course I will be accompanying him. The talks could be held at Nadda’s residence or at the office, or whichever of the two you wish to.
Highlighting the government’s supportive stance, the Union minister pointed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent announcement regarding fast-track courts established specifically for cases involving examination paper leaks. He remarked that this decision demonstrated the Centre’s alignment with student concerns and its commitment to addressing the root causes of the agitation. The establishment of these special courts represents a concrete step toward ensuring justice for students affected by paper leaks.

Earlier on Thursday morning, the Prime Minister shared his announcement on the social media platform X, declaring that swift and strict penalties would be imposed on individuals responsible for paper leaks. He emphasized that nothing holds greater significance than securing the welfare and prospects of young people. This announcement came as a direct response to the growing public concern over examination integrity and the need for accountability in the education system.
Despite this development, the CJP issued a response indicating that the Prime Minister’s statement failed to tackle the core question of accountability. The party maintained its position calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The students believe that mere announcements are insufficient without concrete action on leadership accountability.
The protest movement, which commenced on June 20, seeks accountability for supposed irregularities in competitive examinations, systemic educational reforms, and Pradhan’s departure from his position. The demonstrators have been demanding comprehensive changes to the examination system to prevent future lapses and ensure transparency in the evaluation process.
Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, who became part of the demonstration on June 28 and has maintained an indefinite hunger strike since that date, has proposed terminating his fast provided the government guarantees that no legal actions or First Information Reports will be filed against peaceful participants in the movement. His involvement has brought additional attention to the protest and highlighted the intersection of educational and environmental concerns in Indian society.
